Brothers in Wyoming County fight off intruder

According to Wyoming County Sheriff Greg Rudolph, the brothers were upstairs in their home on West Middlebury Road when 39-year-old Michael Finch walked in. Finch, who deputies said was armed with a knife, is facing several charges including Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and Burglary in the First Degree.

An Idaho couple who got lost inside a mazelike ice cave in Wyoming for nearly two days before being rescued had planned the adventure as a fun way to celebrate the husband's birthday. Spencer Christiansen, who turned 31 on Saturday, said the best part about being rescued from the Darby Canyon Ice Case was when the rescue team sang "Happy Birthday" to him.

Drug overdose deaths surpassed 72,000 in 2017, according to provisional estimates recently released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That represents an increase of more than 6,000 deaths, or 9.5 percent, over the estimate for the previous 12-month period.
Control burn turns into house fire in Worland

Authorities say high winds reignited a controlled burn at a property north of Worland, resulting in the complete loss of a house. The Northern Wyoming Daily News reports the homeowner was burning piles of foliage on the property Sunday and thought the fire was extinguished.
